As I write this, I’m running around frantically trying to wash and repack my bags for my next adventure. I’ve been here in Egypt for a week and now it’s time for a different kind of adventure as I’m leaving on his 9 day trip around Europe!
Side note: It is very difficult to pack light for a trip to Europe between two seasons!
I’m one of four blog reporters for Citadines, a serviced apartment rental company. We plan to travel to different cities in Europe and report on our experiences. Learn more about Citadines Moments here. Click here to learn more about the campaign, other participating bloggers, and prizes. Yes, there are prizes!
Other participating bloggers are Anja Beckman of Travel on Toast, Dorian Nieto of Dorian Cuisine, and Lakshmi Sharath.
I will be traveling to Paris, Lille, and Berlin, and other bloggers will also be covering Cannes, London, Barcelona, and Brussels.
I’m live blogging my travels, so follow me every day to see what I’m up to. I usually wait a week or so before writing about my travels, but I’m trying out a new blog style to include more videos and live posts. I recently bought a new camera that’s great for video, so I’m looking forward to playing with some new toys!
The apartment I live in looks very luxurious. Here’s a sneak peak:
- Paris – Citadines Tour Eiffel Paris & Citadines Louvre Paris
- Lille – Citadines City Center Lille
- Berlin – Citadines Kurfürstendamm Berlin
The competition and the prize!
The Citadels Moments 30 trip is all about celebrating The Citadels’ 30th anniversary.
There’s even more great things to say about the 30 theme, as 30 people can win a vacation in one of the apartment hotels.
Prize #1 – 15 people will win one night stay for two in a European aparthotel
To win a weekend at the aparthotel of your choice, simply vote for your favorite blogger (choose me!)
Prize #2 – 1 week in a European aparthotel for 2 people
There will be additional prizes for those who vote for the winning blogger. If you vote for the winning blogger, you have a chance to win her a 6-night stay for 2 people at a Citadines aparthotel of her choice in Europe, including transportation.
All rules and terms and conditions can be read here. The main thing you want to know is that you can vote every day for an extra chance to win.
Travel tips for Paris, Lille and Berlin?
Please let me know if you have any recommendations for things to see, things to do, things to eat, etc. Please let us know where to drink and play in Paris, Lille, and Berlin!
I always think the best way to find hidden gems is to ask everyone for recommendations.
With three days in each city, you’ll have plenty of time to see all the major sights, plus some off-the-beaten-path ones.
I haven’t been to Paris since I went to school when I was 13 years old. At this age, I was more interested in chasing boys than soaking up the atmosphere of Paris, so it’s basically a blank canvas.
I have never been to Lille, so everything there is new to me.
I spent a few days in Berlin last winter. I took a street art walking tour and a free walking tour in Berlin and loved them both, but this time I would like to see a little more of the city.
If you have any postcard recommendations, please let us know (or in the comments below!)
