It’s time for another #TravelBookChat! This month we’re talking about Big Little Lies
Written by Liane Moriarty. This is a book that is sure to be on everyone’s “beach holiday reading list” this summer.
You may know Liane Moriarty as the author of The Husband’s Secret, which has sold well over a million copies and has been on Amazon’s bestseller list for almost two years. If you haven’t read it yet, add it to your list. It’s a really great book!
Big Little Lies is my favorite poolside read. I’m about halfway through, and I’m completely hooked. So far, the story (without giving away the story!) is about the life of a family that seems completely normal and enviably happy. But there is no such thing as normal, and when the door is closed, you realize that everyone has a secret.
As the title suggests, this is a story about the little lies that cover the big lies, and the little lies that lead to murder.
I’m sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for it to happen because I’m sure there’s going to be a big unexpected twist at some point.
Ooooh. I won’t say any more. I have a terrible habit of giving things away.
But let me tell you, it’s set in an Australian seaside town, and you can almost smell the heat and sea breeze in the air. I read most of this article wrapped up in a blanket with the heating on full blast, so I spent a lot of time daydreaming about the sun and the ocean.
